Hole #1 "The Forest" - Par 4
A good birdie opportunity awaits as you begin your round. A slight uphill dogleg
right is well protected by three greenside bunkers. Avoid hitting approach shots
long and left. A great opportunity to open your day with a birdie.
Straight away Par 3 with a generous undulating green, beware of the false front
on the right side which will leave a difficult up and down. Tee shots should be
precise leaving make able putts on this large surging green.
A true three shot Par 5 on most days as the prevailing wind is generally into
the player. Tee shots should be aimed at the left side of the fairway bunker to
avoid Seven Persons Creek which winds down the left side of the landing area.
Second shots should avoid the fairway bunker on the left side, which will leave
a third to a long subtle green.
A large putting surface sits nestled into the hillside on this uphill Par 3. A
steep face bunker guards the left front pin location, make sure you have enough
club! Take note of today’s pin location as the green has three distinct tiers
that will add to the difficulty of this hole.
A “Bombers Paradise” reachable Par 5, tee shots hit towards the gap on the right
side of the fairway will give you the best line to the green if you choose to go
for it! A large lay up area is located to the right side of the green for those
choosing to play the hole as a three shot Par 5.
“Corkscrew” Tee shots should be aimed left of the rock to give you a straight
approach shot to this large undulating green. Marginal tee shots may come back
in to play with the large mounds on the left and right side of the fairway. A
precise second shot should avoid the two deep greenside bunkers left and right
of the green.
An accurate tee shot required as out of bounds runs down the entire left side,
the fairway bunker on the right side should be avoided as well. A well hit tee
shot will enable the player to reach the green in two strokes, a small flat
green will yield many birdies.
An Ultimate Risk Reward Par 4 totaling 310 yards to the middle of the green from
the tips. For the adventurous player a drive hit towards the fairway bunker on
the other side of the creek is the correct line for those choosing to go for the
green. For the safe play choose a mid iron and lay up to the upper left or lower
right side of the fairway and have a wedge into the green.
A beautiful Par 4 with the the grand clubhouse in the distance, driver is
probably not a wise choice with the the elevated tee. A well hit 3 wood just
left of the fairway bunker will leave a short iron to an undulated green.
